MyBridgertonScore – A Rescoring Competition by Spitfire Audio

Bridgerton – Rescoring, Beitrag zum Spitfire Audio–Kompositionswettbewerb 2022 – YouTube
My entry for #MyBridgertonScore rescoring competition as announced and run by Spitfire Audio and Kris Bowers, the series’ original composer

I participated in Spitfire Audio’s competition for rescoring a scene of Bridgerton, a Netflix regency series set against the backdrop of King George III monarchy in the early 19th century, but with added topics of today, like gender equality, womens’ rights, cultural equality and so on.

I took a different approach as the last few times when I had entered into the #scorerelief competitions, where I composed a new theme almost for every character, but certainly for every cue. This time around, I chose in favor of basically sticking to one main theme and accommodating change in picture and expression by variation in instrumentation, timbre, pace/tempo, range in which the sections play and so on.

I’m still learning and my technical means are very limited. But it’s about making the most with what you got, isn’t it? Not only in music, but in life generally, I’d wager.

Hope, you enjoy! If you did, please consider subscribing to my YouTube channel and don’t forget to hit the notifications bell so you get updated on new content as it “arrives”. 🙂
