… I fill in for the Munich airport tour… 🙂 No, seriously now: This was taken during the show after Stefan Aaron’s flying carpet landed, with him on the platform and performing while airborne. I played “percussion” on the Munich airport logo “M”. One of the singers said I looked “anxious”… uhm… huh? 🙂
Over the past week following Stefan’s successful flying carpet ride and landing at Munich Airport to perform the Munich Airport Soca, I’ve done my best to collect media feedback that spread quickly and internationally, showing either that picture with Stefan on the flying carpet set against the backdrop of the “white blue Bavarian” sky or even publishing video clips and TV reports of this story. As Facebook seems to be the predominant social media site, where “it all happens”, I’ve placed my finds of international reporting to my own Facebook page’s timeline and/or Stefan’s and the band’s members profiles (see drummer Steve’s wall and bassist Kevin’s). If you click below widget, you’ll land on my Facebook page, where you get to check out the posts and statuses of the past week, most of them referring to one or the other story that “aired” on behalf of this once-in-a-lifetime event. Check it out, if so inclined!

Very cool! DW have published a report on Stefan’s flying carpet ride while performing on his orange piano in English! Check it out!
Whoa man!!! What an experience! I wouldn’t have believed it, if I hadn’t been there and been a part of the entire show! Stefan Aaron got hoisted up via helicopter, sitting atop a platform shaped like a flying carpet and being brought in on the Northern runway at Terminal 1, Munich Airport – what a sight! What a show! The energy and vibe was off the hook! And the weather conditions couldn’t have been any better today!
Can’t wait to see the official footage from the cameras that captured the whole thing! There were some 30 press and TV people invited along with select VIP guests, who witnessed the entire thing. I hear, there’ll be a video report on Deutsche Welle by tomorrow 6.30 p.m. Should be interesting to see, how this will be covered in the news! 🙂
In any case – this was a unique once-in-a-lifetime experience! And I’m real honored and glad to be a part of it! Had some really nice conversations at the aftershow party and made some nice new friends, too! The summer of 2014 is being good to me! 😀
Here’s a first international report:
Stefan Aaron introduces the band to his fans. A certain someone might appear there, too – any day now….
Haaaa!!! I can barely believe that I’m actually going to be there LIVE (and play a part in the video) when Stefan will come in on a flying carpet-shaped platform, suspended on eight ropes, each 120 ft. long and attached to a helicopter that’s going to approach one of the major runways at airport Munich and he’ll perform while airborne! That’s a first in human history, a true world premiere! B.t.w.: Next to the image embedded with the article, I’ve looked at other photos from the test flight, which are still confidential material for now. I’ll say this much, though: Hats off to Stefan for being bold like this! This is going to be a sensation! But not only that: It’s also a moving, sweet idea to make a dream come true for a lot of people, who may have always dreamt of riding a flying carpet! The suspense is almost killing me, LOL!
