Melvin, the founder and musical director of chessboard, the band I’m currently playing with as a backup guitarist, called me Tuesday night, December 15th 2009, and asked me, what I was up to the next day. I started to tell him my plans, when he goes “OK, I just wanted to give you the first opportunity to accept a surprise gig tomorrow night.” What? Heck, yeah! 
So we arranged to meet the next day at around 6.30 pm to set up for Sixt’s (Car Rental) Christmas party at Paulaner am Nockherberg, Munich. What can I say? Met Kevin Moore, another one of Melvin’s friends and very, very grooving, cool, talented bass player. The sets got funkier with every hour that passed. So, I’m hoping to get a chance of playing in that line-up again some time soon.
